The Pebble Mine Update
While the Army Corps denied Pebble's permit last November, Pebble's recent appeal makes clear that the fight is far from over. The Bristol Bay coalition led by United Tribes of Bristol Bay, The Wild Salmon Center and others is pushing for the new Administration to use its Clean Water Act authority to secure lasting and permanent protections for the region.
On February 3rd, the coalition is hosting a Virtual Town Hall to cover the current state-of-play for Pebble, and what the next phase of the campaign will look like with the new Biden Administration.
